Epic Games zegt nooit Wii games te maken

"Wij willen vooruit, geen stap terug." zegt Mike Capps, president van Epic Games, in een interview met IGN, waarin hij verklaart nooit Wii games te zullen gaan maken. Het gaat hem er niet om hoeveel succes de console heeft, maar wat er op gedaan kan worden. Het ontwikkelen voor de Wii zou hij zien als een stap terug, terwijl hij zich liever richt op next-gen materiaal.
Het succes van de Wii is volgens hem simpel te verklaren, het is namelijk net een virus, wat zich maar blijft verspreiden.

Hij onderkent het succes van de Wii, maar heeft nog geen spel gezien wat hem kon overtuigen. Hij denkt dat wellicht Wii fit iets voor hem is. Over Zelda en Mario is hij ook weinig positief:
