Op internet is een interview verschenen met Bill Gates waarin hij in een Japans televisieprogramma (TV Tokyo) zegt dat Nintendo de grootste concurrent is van Microsoft.
"[...] "The strength of Nintendo has been very impressive and surprised a lot of people. And [considering] the strength of the Wii - we see Nintendo as our toughest competition", says Gates. [...]"
Voorheen was de grootste concurrent nog Sony. Blijkbaar is het succes van de Nintendo DS en de Wii ook Microsoft niet ontgaan.
