Wii 3rd party games pas in 2007 online

Nintendo gaat met de Wii voor het eerst serieus online met een homeconsole. Er zit echter wel nog wel een addertje onder het gras; third party games gaan pas in 2007 online.

De launchgames van bijvoorbeeld EA en Ubisoft gaan dus (nog) niet online vanaf de launch: IGN has separately learned from multiple development sources that Nintendo will not release Wii Wi-Fi Connection libraries to third parties until early 2007, which means that no third party launch title will have an online mode.
