Backstab eerste maand exclusief voor Xperia Play
Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is nog niet eens te koop en heeft al zijn eerste timed exclusive te pakken. Backstab, een action-adventure van Gameloft, verschijnt de eerste maand exclusief op de 'PlayStation Phone'. Later zal de game ook op andere Android-toestellen verschijnen aldus Gameloft.
Gameloft ziet de smartphone met game-controls ook wel zitten als publisher van games voor smartphones:
"We are truly excited to continue our support of Xperia Play with an exclusive release of BackStab, bringing the action adventure experience to a new level. We already have a strong line-up for Xperia PLAY and its capabilities as a fully enabled smartphone with dedicated gaming controls make this device one powerful contender in the gaming space."
Sony Ericsson is uiteraard blij met exclusive support voor hun Xperia Play, ook al is het maar tijdelijk:
"We are delighted that Gameloft have chosen to launch this stunning new title first on Xperia PLAY. BackStab sets a high benchmark graphically and technically for gaming on a smartphone and it is a fantastic addition to the fast growing portfolio of quality releases for Xperia PLAY"
Backstab is een action-adventure die zich afspeelt in de 18e eeuw op een Caribisch eiland. Je speelt als hoofdrolspeler Henry Blake en je bent uit op wraak nadat je vals beschuldigd bent van verraad. Naast de hoofdverhaallijn zijn er ook talloze sidequests te spelen. Backstab moet in het tweede kwartaal van 2011 beschikbaar zijn.
