Kinderen willen geen Xbox 360, wel Guitar Hero 5

De videogame-retailer Game Crazy heeft onlangs de wensenlijstjes van de kinderen onderzocht en kwam daarbij tot opvallende resultaten. Er zijn duizend kinderen tussen de acht en zeventien jaar gevraagd naar wat voor game en console ze het liefst voor Kerstmis willen krijgen van de Kerstman. Guitar Hero 5 is als beste game uit de bus gekomen. Kinderen willen overigens geen console, maar een handheld: de Nintendo DSi. Je ziet de resultaten hieronder.

Opvallend is dat de laatste drie genoemde games allemaal exclusief voor de Nintendo Wii verkrijgbaar zijn. Even kijken wat de meiden willen.

Kijk, daar zit al wat verandering in de twee laatste categorieën. Call of Duty, Halo 3 ODST en Guitar Hero 5 zijn volgens 14-17 jarigen de meest stoere games. Maar dan, het moment van de waarheid: de consoles en handhelds!

Equally important is ensuring the game is for the right system. The 2009 survey reveals that 66 percent of kids plan to ask for a new video game system this holiday season. Game Crazy recommends when choosing a system, parents should consider the following:

* The most desired systems for the season are Nintendo DSi (24 percent), followed by PS3 and Wii both at 21 percent
* It's the ideal time to buy: all systems have dropped in price (ranging from $50 to $100) since last holiday season
