Gizmondo launch in Londen

Van het weekend is de Gizmondo gepresenteerd in London. Volgens Gizmondo Europe was dit een groot succes en ze hopen dat dit een voorbode is van het succes van de Gizmondo.

De Gizmondo kon voor het eerst gekocht worden in de UK in een speciale Gizmondo winkel en daar werd een flink feestje voor gegeven. Ongeveer 2000 fans bestormden de winkel om beroemdheden zoals Pharrell Williams, Dannii Minogue, Verne Troyer, Busta Rhymes en Lennox Lewis te bekijken en natuurlijk om een Gizmondo te kopen. De gehele voorraad van de winkel was nog voor sluitingstijd op.

Maar het feest werd 's avonds nog voortgezet met optredens van Sting, Jamiroquai, Pharrell Williams, Clipse en Busta Rhymes. Er stonden ook een hoop beroemdheden op de VIP lijst, zoals de comediant Tom Greene en Danni Minogue.

"The event was more than a marketing exercise. We wanted it to be a time stamp indelibly marking Gizmondo's high street launch." He added, "The store has been a huge success. Turnout was amazing and we were completely cleared of stock we'd expected to last beyond the weekend.
