Zeuren over Black Ops mag van Activision

Call of Duty: Black Ops ligt in de winkels en wordt volop gespeeld en waar veel mensen een game spelen, worden er uiteraard bugs gevonden. Maar wees niet bang, de kritiek, bugs en andere problemen worden met open armen ontvangen en serieus aangepakt, aldus Dan Amrich van Activision.

In een reactie liet hij weten: "You found an exploit or saw someone using an exploit online, you are having trouble with server reliability, you discovered a bug in the single-player game, or something along those lines that is more related to how the software performs. These are things that the Treyarch development team needs to hear about in order for them to fix them. The best way to contact them is through the Call of Duty forums."

Het is uiteraard bijna onmogelijk om alle bugs uit een game te halen, maar desalniettemin zijn ze er niet blij mee of trots op: "Every game has bugs; it's a reality of gaming. And the bigger the game, the more likely you will find bugs that would never even come to light in less popular titles. So the best way to help get rid of those bugs is to share what you've learned with the team that has the power and insight to fix them."

Het wordt overigens ook gewaardeerd om specifiek aan te geven waar het probleem ligt, algemene klachten, kritiek of beledigingen worden niet behandeld: "When you explain your issue, it helps to be polite (insults in all caps might make you feel better, but it makes it tougher to get to the usefull stuff), be specific (the more detail you can offer about what was going on when the problem occurred, the better) and be clear & direct, and you have a much better chance of finding the info you need and/or helping get the problem fixed. Less helpful things include angry Tweets directed at nobody in particular, how-to-exploit-the-bugs videos on YouTube, and screaming at the walls, so I do not recommend them."
