Nepprotest Dante's Inferno krijgt een staartje

Onlangs konden we jullie melden dat het bescheiden protest tegen de komst van Dante's Inferno wat op de E3 '09 gaande was, een marketingtruc bleek van EA om het spel in de publiciteit te brengen.

Deze actie is echter niet in goede aarde gevallen bij een aantal christenwebsites.

Zo schrijft een vrouw op InsideCatholic:

It's been clear for a while now that the entertainment industry views Christians on the whole as priggish, thin-skinned fun-killers... Has anybody at EA actually read the Inferno?

Nog feller is een reactie op de blog Catholic Video Gamers:

Gamers of all varieties will buy this product if its, well, actually a good game. So instead of engaging in a shamelessly anti-Christian stunt to promote your poor excuse of a product, maybe you ought to work on making this game, you know, something better than a blatant God of War rip-off and make it, ya know, something worthwhile?

EA's plan om publiciteit voor Dante's Inferno te genereren lijkt in ieder geval geslaagd.
