RTL Games richt label Black Inc. op voor RTS WorldShift

RTL Games, onderdeel van het Duitse mediabedrijf RTL, heeft uitgever Black Inc. opgericht. Tevens kondigde het bedrijf aan dat de eerste titel al is gevonden die Black Inc. zal gaan uitgeven: WorldShift. Deze game wordt momenteel ontwikkeld door Black Sea Studios en moet volgend jaar in de schappen liggen. WorldShift is een online-based next-gen real-time strategy game met een cyber/fantasy setting. De game zal niet werken met tech-trees, maar met artifacten en zal sterk gericht zijn op een community. Over de samenwerking met Black Sea zei Holger Strecker, managing director van RTL Games:

"With Black Sea Studios, we have found the ideal partner for the first flagship title for Black Inc. I'm convinced that WorldShift will succeed in demonstrating to core gamers our commitment to quality right from the beginning. The game will serve as a prelude to our new Black Inc. product portfolio, which we intend to strengthen rapidly with further exciting titles."

Vesselin Handjiev, managing director van Black Sea, voegde daar nog aan toe:

"We are happy to finalize the international cooperation deal for WorldShift with RTL Games, and we believe the title is a great first step for the Black Inc. label. The title explores new features and new game mechanics in order to revitalize the RTS genre."
