Ubisoft maakt productline-up 2005-2006 bekend

Ubisoft heeft laten weten welke grote games het dit financiële jaar onder meer uit gaat brengen. Zo zullen in het eerste semester van 2005 (april tot en met september) Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Lockdown, Far Cry Instincts (consoles), Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (draagbare consoles) en 187 Ride or Die uit worden gebracht. Die laatste titel geeft Ubisoft een aanwezigheid in het urban street-racingmarktsegment (denk aan games als Need For Speed).

In het derde kwartaal (oktober, november en december) brengt men Peter Jackson's King Kong, Brothers in Arms, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon en het derde deel van de Prince of Persia-franchise uit. In het vierde kwartaal (januari, februari en maart 2006) zullen er nieuwe Splinter Cell-avonturen aankomen en zullen er drie nog niet nader genoemde nieuwe merken in de markt gezet worden. Met in totaal 32 producten die in het fiscale jaar 2005-2006 uitgebracht worden, lijkt Ubisoft een van de weinige bedrijven te zijn die kan gaan concurreren met de brede productportfolio van Electronic Arts.
