Ubisoft lanceert Uplay PC
Na Electronic Arts met Origin, komt Ubisoft nu ook met een eigen distibutieplatform voor pc. Uplay PC is het platform voor Ubisoft-games op pc, en biedt een vriendenlijst, online winkel voor games, achievements en een chatsysteem aan.
Dankzij Uplay PC is het niet meer nodig om individuele software te downloaden voor games van Ubisoft, dit gaat nu geheel via het platform zelf. Om te vieren dat Ubisoft een eigen distributieplatform heeft, krijgen diverse games een aanbieding. Voor €1 is het mogelijk om vandaag From Dust te kopen op Uplay PC. "Uplay PC is a great way for customers to discover Ubisoft's games, connect with their friends and gaming communities, and win achievements and content that's not available anywhere else", aldus Stephanie Perrotie, director van online games bij Ubisoft.
